The King Center is Hiring a Program Administrator Near Atlanta, GA

Description

The Program Administrator will promote and instill The King Center’s core values, as well as the vision and goals of the Beloved Community. As we strive to become a Beloved Community Organization, the Program Administrator must be willing to learn Nonviolence365™ and incorporate it into programing, policies, and procedures to support the Center’s mission.

The Program Administrator will foster and maintain positive relationships with team members, parents, students, vendors, and the global community while providing instructional oversight of the academy.

Requirements

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide administrative support for the academy (scheduling, calendar, conference calls, meetings and itinerary travel management for the Department).
  • Handles all communication with parents and families
  • Project management of special projects that required coordination of multiple people, groups, teams.
  • Support all operating standards, processes, and systems necessary to effectively operate virtual and in-person academy and to achieve stated outcomes.
  • Reinforce BCLA SOPs (including any required permissions and legal documentation for minors) and ensure that information in the employee, polices and handbook is updated
  • Compile, interpret, evaluate, and communicate data to determine the needs of the leadership academy and inform organizational stakeholders.
  • Ensure students submit applications in a timely manner
  • In collaboration with BCLA Director, maintain grant reports and sponsorship for BCLA.
  • Support and enforce tuition requirements and resolve problems for non-payment, when necessary.

Background, Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree / Master’s Degree preferred. 2-5 years’ experience as Program Administrator, Administrative Assistant.
  • Experience with Microsoft office products, with proficiency in Outlook, Excel and/or other database management, LMS or CRM systems.

Additional Requirements:

  • Understanding and knowledge of Dr. King’s teachings and nonviolent philosophy and methodology, including the Beloved Community.
  • Knowledge of the King Center’s founder, Coretta Scott King (My Life, My Love, My Legacy).
  • People builder - proven ability to build teams, grow leaders, and create cohesive and inclusive culture
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Results-driven, self-starter
  • Excellent customer-service skills and the ability to create effective partnerships with churches, families, youth organizations and TKC team.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork
  • High energy, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Capacity to effectively manage academy financials including budget development

 We are only accepting candidates local to the Metropolitan Atlanta, GA area. Relocation will not be provided.
