The John H. Boner Community Center Inc is Hiring a Data Specialist Near Indianapolis, IN

John Boner Neighborhood Centers (JBNC) is seeking Data Specialists to join our research and impact team. This role will interact with a high number of data projects as support in various data initiatives within JBNC, performing analysis related to process improvement, quality assurance, and program effectiveness. Working collaboratively with data team staff, this role provides an exciting opportunity for someone with a desire to learn about data processes within a non-profit organization.

This is a full-time, exempt position, reporting to the Vice President Research and Impact.

Here’s what a day as a Data Specialist might look like:

  • Producing comprehensive data reports and other tools to assist in making data-driven, strategic decisions for programs and services
  • Collaborating on a funding application by producing data reports to support the application
  • Filtering and “cleaning” data by collaborating with staff, reviewing reports, program efforts, and performance indicators to locate and correct challenges
  • Organizing data and collaborating with staff to fulfill grant reporting requirements 

You will thrive in this position if you:

  • Have 1 - 3 years of experience working in a data evaluation environment

  • Have demonstrated experience organizing data and maintaining detailed records

  • Enjoy a balance of working collaboratively with a team and independently

  • Have flexibility in your schedule and can work day, evening, and weekend hours as necessary
