Our staff use a culturally competent, person centered approach to help individuals and their families develop skills and resources to improve overall functioning, in instill hope and to strengthen resiliency. Services include: • Crisis intervention • Domestic violence advocacy • Individual, group and family therapy • Legal advocacy • Childcare • Independent living skills • Medical consultation • Psychiatric services The Social Worker provides client evaluation and social work services to DV Shelter clients. They will support shelter caseworkers and social workers in the screening, assessment, and referral of clients for clinical mental health services. The Social Worker engages trauma-informed best practices and works directly with victims of family or domestic violence providing direct advocacy and support, safety planning, case management, and connections to supportive services in the community. Our Social Workers work within our shelters for survivors with and without disabilities and provide comprehensive services to families and single individuals to assist them in recovering from their experiences of trauma. KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Obtain, analyze and evaluate case data. Carry out treatment processes. Analyze and evaluate course and results of treatment processes. Record material and case summaries. Utilize Agency resources as well as community resources to perform related tasks. TO QUALIFY The Jewish Board is currently looking for talented professionals of all cultures, religions, races, and gender expressions with the following qualifications: You should have: Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) and LMSW/ LCSW certification. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of one year experience of relevant experience working in the field of domestic violence, substance abuse or community outreach. Bilingual Spanish preferable
