How you can make a bigger difference: The Payroll Clerk functions in a line capacity performing general Payroll Clerk duties under the direction of the Payroll Coordinator. The Payroll Clerk performs all of the duties normally associated with the title Clerk with some additional Payroll responsibilities. He or She must have good general math skills and knowledge of Payroll functions. The primary focus of this position as a member of the Payroll team is to assist and support in ensuring accurate processing and recording of company’s payroll by reviewing, and entering of payroll processing changes such as, but not limited to, direct deposit, tax forms, timekeeping, employee PTO banks and participating in other payroll department activities as required. Review and process address changes and tax forms Match data entries with new hire documents for accuracy Run new hire and termination reports for completeness Review timesheets for new hire and termination hours Field telephone calls Update payroll records for direct deposit/pay card applications or garnishment instructions Maintain payroll scanner and file in cabinet as necessary Provide payroll information by answering questions and requests via phone, email or ticket system Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information Run and submit Social Security verification reports Handle employees Dept. of Labor Wage inquiries Run other general payroll reports Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential Additional duties as assigned Qualifications: The Jewish Board is currently looking for talented individuals of all cultures, religions, races, and gender expressions with the following qualifications: A Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of (1-2) years of experience as a clerk OR Associates Degree and 2 years of experience as a clerk in some payroll or accounting capacity.
