How you can make a bigger difference: Geller House is a 24/7 short-term residential center in Staten Island that provides rapid intervention, assessments, treatment services, education, social and recreational activities for at-risk adolescent’s ages 11-16 years old who are struggling with family and trauma related issues including; long-term abuse, neglect, substance abuse and mental illness. The Clinical Director has full responsibility for the on-going clinical and administrative guidance of the clinical staff members, providing on-going training, supervision, and guidance to staff. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Providing regularly scheduled supervision to all clinical staff members, including evaluations; Providing training through regular supervision; Ensuring appropriate supervision of all program Interns, either through direct supervision, or by overseeing the clinical supervision provided by the social worker Evaluating/assessing treatment and service plans; Running case conferences; May carry a caseload, and run specialized groups Active participant in the intake process for new referrals, and reviews client’s ongoing service plan ; Ensures that the clinical needs to the client are met Is a key staff resource for community outreach efforts and may perform such outreach and establish linkages with other groups, individuals or organizations which may be helpful to our clients Providing all necessary notes, progress notes, Risk Assessments, etc. as required.
