Position SummaryThe Human Resources Generalist is a part of the Human Resources Team. This person provides support to the Human Resources Office and the Hotel's Team Leaders, supervisors, and some functional areas of human resources including but not to limited, recruitment and employment, compensation, employee relations, health and safety, wellness and benefit programs, team member services, and special projects.Pay rate: $26.00 - $28.00 hourly Essential Duties and Responsibilities• Manages, facilitates and plans effectively the recruitment and hiring processes, activities and results. • Manages Onboarding process and conducts new hire orientation• Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions• Oversees the employee benefits programs including responding, and resolving benefit issues• Manages team member information in HRIS system• Handle all leave of absence • Monitors and follows up on employee health or injury related absences. Using a detail oriented, and resourceful approach investigates, monitors and responds to information requests from third parties or insurers• General knowledge of employment laws and practices• Assist the Director of Human Resources with projects such as, documenting HR policies and procedures, creating property orientation programs, turnover reports, etc. • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment, with proficiency in Excel, and the ability to learn HRIS system• Strong analytical and problem solving skills • Superior verbal/written skills and presentation skills• Excellent organizational skills• Other duties as assignedKnowledge & SkillsThe individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.Education and Work Experience • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business or human resources• At least 3 years’ experience in the administration of Human Resources programs, specifically relating to recruitmentCertificates, Licenses and RegistrationsnoneSupervisory ResponsibilitiesnonePhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
