The Hiller Companies, Inc. is a national leader in the Fire Protection and Security industry and has an immediate opening for a qualified Fire Alarm Technician in Mobile, AL.
Required:
- Experience working as a fire alarm and security technician for a minimum of 5 years.
- Familiar with NFPA codes and standards.
- Strong work ethic and integrity.
- Detail oriented and strong problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in the use of personal computer programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and lift equipment.
- Working knowledge of test equipment such as a digital multimeter.
- Electrical construction knowledge and good work ethics.
Description:
Duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Read and interpret blueprints.
- Understand the “Scope of Work” for all projects.
- Exhibit excellent customer service.
- Perform other duties assigned, including attending training classes.
- Ability to lift and move equipment and tools weighing up to 50lbs.
- Complete vehicle reports in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate truck inventory.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Other duties as assigned.
Other:
- MUST be NICET II Certified.
- MUST have minimum high school diploma/GED.
- MUST have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work a full-time schedule.
- Overtime may be required with a short notice.
- Available to travel, which may include nights and weekends.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer. No sponsorship is available for this position.

The following vendors we have on schedule include Ansul, Amerex, Kidde, Siemens, Survivair, Akron Brass and Gentex, just to name a few.
