The Grogan Agency, Inc. is Hiring a Commercial Lines Account Manager Near Trussville, AL

Job Description


Our agency is expanding and we are looking for a friendly and strong-minded individual to join our outstanding client services team. We are currently seeking to fill a full-time position. Our CL Account Manager will be responsible for providing exceptional account / policy service to our current commercial clients and new prospects, processing policy change requests, maintaining knowledge of our extensive selection of insurance products, and acting as claims liaison to our policy holders.

Insurance industry experience and knowledge is required. AMS360 experience preferred.

Responsibilities


Builds on the agency???s relationship with clients by working to understand client needs, points of product confusion, and possible communication issues. 

Ensures agency data is correct and complete in the agency management system with every client interaction. Provides client services for commercial book of business, including:

  • Taking / receipting premium payments 
  • Discussing billing, including calculating premiums, refunds or adjustments
  • Explaining policy coverages 
  • Managing claims processes

Builds and maintains knowledge of products and add-ons. 

Participates in weekly sales call to provide information and feedback on carrier offerings, best practices and commercial lines pipeline.

Works closely with producers and commercial clients to research, write and issue commercial insurance policies:

  • Collects information required for quoting commercial insurance policies for new leads and existing customers.
  • Uses agency CRM to properly record/track new business and retention in the Commercial Lines Pipeline.
  • Communicates with producer to collect needed info and to update regarding status and changes.
  • Prepares, processes and submits new applications for business with carriers.
  • Communicates regularly with underwriting to answer questions and ensure that the policy is issued in a timely manner.
  • Ensures proper recording of all new business to agency management system, complete with all available customer information, contacts, policy details and cross-references within that system.
  • Collects initial premium and issues receipts.

Reviews renewal information and provides assistance to producer to retain policies:

  • Organizes work with CL CSA to maintain files in agency management system and tracks progress in commercial lines retention pipeline in CRM.
  • Examines correspondence from policyholders, producers and policy documents to determine if changes are needed and the effects of the changes.
  • Modifies, updates or requotes existing policies to reflect changes in coverage types or amounts

Requirements


Current property and casualty license with Alabama Dept. of Insurance required.

Must have previous commercial insurance experience.

Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Must be dedicated to thorough documentation and follow-up.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications preferred.

Experience with AMS360 or other Vertafore tech products preferred.

Experience with CRM preferred.
