The Goddard School® is a premiere preschool where children from six weeks to five years are encouraged to develop at their own pace in a nurturing environment, lovingly guided by our highly skilled, professional teachers. Teachers use their creativity to develop lesson plans that are brought to life in fun and imaginative ways. Each of our faculty is a valued member of the school and has the opportunity to form close relationships with the children and families they serve. 

We are currently looking for fun and energetic Lead and Assistant Teachers to join our faculty.

Daily Responsibilities

Our Lead and Assistant Teachers work together to:

• Develop lesson plans.
• Meet the individual needs of the children.
• Participate in staff and training meetings.
• Design an appropriate room arrangement to support the goals and developmental level of the children in the classroom.
• Interact with the children to support play, exploration, and learning.
• Present expectations that are appropriate to the child’s age and developmental level.
• Plan and implement activities that develop self-esteem and social skills.
• Communicate appropriately and professionally with parents and fellow staff.
• Build teamwork.
• Use assessment tools.
• Commit to continuing education.

Assistant Teachers assist the Lead Teacher with the above-noted responsibilities. The Goddard School offers competitive compensation and benefits based on experience, education, and certifications.

Assistant Teacher Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• Prior childcare experience
• 90 hours preschool certification
• Pursuing degree
