The Global Child is Hiring a Lead Toddler Teacher (FT) Near Ledyard, CT
The ideal candidate should have an understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices, be nurturing, reliable, flexible, and enjoy spending time with children.
General Responsibility:
- Implement the Toddler curriculum for children in a center-based setting. Specific.
- Be knowledgeable about: Developmentally appropriate practices and the CT Early Learning and Development Standards Planning according to the individual needs of each child.
- Developmental assessments and conducting observations of children daily.
- Encouraging family engagement in the program.
- Maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
- High School Diploma is a must.
- Associate Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education (preferred) or Associate Degree or higher in a related field with coursework in Early Childhood Education.
- Experience is a must.
- Applicants must be skilled in building positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Experience working with young children or in a licensed childcare center is a must.
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
