Our Memory Care Director (Memory Care Manager) is responsible for the overall implementation, delivery, and coordination of resident care services for the Memory Care neighborhood. What will you do as a Director of Memory Care?

  • Supervise, develop and schedule the care staff according to the company's policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Responsible for the overall programming and engagement of residents in Memory Care.
  • Maintain the medication program with oversight by RSD (unless Director has a nursing degree).
  • Perform assessments and reassessments according to policies.
  • Ensure resident records and charting is current and up to date.
  • Maintain a high degree of resident satisfaction through consistent delivery of high-quality services.
  • Act as the contact for all issues related to resident care in Memory Care.
  • Understand the community's care regulations along with state-specific regulations.
  • Provide activities of daily assistance to the residents as needed.
  • Provide training and orientation to all Care Partners and Medication Care Partners.
  • Maintains current departmental policies, procedures, and licenses, in accordance with company, Federal, State, and local requirements

If you have these qualifications, we'd love to chat:

  • A degree in gerontology, nursing, or in a related field is preferred.
  • Dementia experience in a supervisory role is required.
  • 3-5 years experience in assisted living and memory care.
  • Knowledge of various computer systems, particularly Excel and Word.
  • A high degree of accuracy in all assignments; ability to manage time effectively, work with numerous interruptions, strength in showing initiative, good judgment, employing professional ethics; with a pleasant manner, good communication skills, and the ability to motivate.
  • Ability to work evenings and/or weekends and on call.
  • Previous experience working in Independent Living (IL), Assisted Living (AL), Memory Care (MC), or Senior Living experience is a plus!
