Your Role The Graphic Designer will be responsible for working with the Executive Communications Team and Senior Leadership including the Co-CEOs to design presentations, banner graphics, organization charts, process diagrams and other digital and print collateral that help drive strategic messages throughout the firm. A successful candidate must thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment where the key to success is heavy communication, rapid iterative editing, and strong organizational skills. The ideal candidate will quickly acclimate to the firms’ culture, adapt to and be familiar with the various leaders (people), resources (tools), and other knowledge networks to accomplish a wide variety of projects and tasks. The ability to juggle multiple short- and long-term deadlines and prioritize initiatives is critical in this role. This position will be on site in either our Los Angeles or Washington D.C. offices. What You Will Do Work closely and collaboratively with the Director of Executive Communications and partner with Los Angeles based Graphic Designer to conceptualize and design digital and print collateral in support of key strategic communications working with our senior-most firm leadership including the Co-CEOs Collaborate with the Executive Communications Team and Co-CEOs to produce bi-annual all-firm broadcasts, including design and development of the format, messages, and presentations Work with the Executive Communications team on the development of presentations for external speaking engagements, and graphics for external editorial and social media pieces Think creatively about the Gensler brand, identify opportunities, strategies, creative partners, and trends Present creative and projects to partners to set direction and buy-in Partner with other designers across the firm to develop innovative and effective designs that drive the Gensler brand forward Provide ad hoc graphics support for internal presentations and special projects as assigned. Maintain a knowledge of, and stay up to date on, industry best practices, introducing innovative ideas, new approaches and tools to the team for consideration Your Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required At least 5-8 years of relevant agency or in-house Graphic Design experience Portfolio of work demonstrating creative solutions across a broad range of mediums Your design skills are well grounded, and you can guide, evaluate, and if necessary, redirect creative development Experience working with all levels of an organization Ability to start, pick-up or hand-off an in-progress project as needed Solid project management skills: ability to coordinate, prioritize, and handle multiple projects simultaneously and often independently Strong communication skills to manage internal and external resources and work collaboratively with colleagues across disciplines Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) Expert knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, knowledge of Premiere and After Effects a plus, but not required Working knowledge of HTML and Java Script *If the position is located in Los Angeles, CA the base salary will be estimated between $90k - $125k plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience.
