The Gathering Spot is Hiring a Private Events Sales Manager Near Atlanta, GA

The Private Event Sales Manager reports to the Natioanl Private Event Director and oversees account strategy for assigned accounts to generate and maximize business by selling and negotiating private events. 

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all event sales admin work including: creating BEO’s, upselling of the club, maintaining up to date master calendar, reporting, inventory management, and forward progression and development
  • Prospect for new contract business using a wide variety of methods including phone calls, outside sales calls, attending community functions, internet prospecting, supplier partnerships, trade journals, etc.
  • Develop, implement and constantly modify sales action plans.
  • Utlizie Salesforce for leads tracking
  • Provide potential revenue forecasts
  • Communicate client specifications to appropriate operational departments and monitor implementation and execution of said expectations.
  • Solicit, negotiate and generate contracted revenues from volume prospects.
  • Accurately prepare and present requests for proposals in order for both the client and the club to receive a good value.
  • Monitors client specifications to promote smooth execution and client satisfaction.
  • May be called on to host functions and participate in, or conduct sales blitzes, travel and work extended hours to achieve departmental goals.
  • Keeping up with correspondence and have accountable response times 
  • Monitoring and tracking of clients requesting information 
  • Continuation of customer service standards 
  • Weekly/Bi-Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly reporting 
  • Booking and facilitating site tours
  • Direct contact with current and future clients 
  • Communication with management teams on any needs or areas of concern that may affect other departments
  • All other duties as assigned or needed.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of increasing revenues, controlling costs, providing a return on investment while consistently delivering a high level of service.

• Sales experience preferred, but not required.

Job Requirements

• Minimum two (2) years of sales experience or the equivalent amount of industry experience; or, equivalent combination of education and work experience.

• Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to drive to work or appointments.
