SUMMARY//

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced [Staff Accountant] to join our finance team in supporting our uniquely branded companies. You will play a critical role in managing our dynamic financial operations by providing accurate and strategic financial guidance to the company. This role requires adaptability, strong analytical skills, and ambition.

ABOUT US//

The Front Climbing Club was Utah's first indoor rock climbing gym, and one of the first in the nation. The Front Climbing Clubs are lifestyle gyms that include, Cafes, Yoga, Group fitness, beautiful recreational areas and more! You will split your time between it and its sister company, Vertical Solutions.

Vertical Solutions is the largest domestic climbing wall builder and offers everything needed to get climbers off the ground - walls, holds and pads.

Responsibilities //

• Oversee & work in the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance.
• Prepare financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards.
• Analyze financial data, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for cost optimization and revenue growth.
• Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and controls tailored to the unique needs of a start-up company.
• Monitor cash flow, manage working capital, and provide recommendations to optimize financial resources.
• Prepare tax filings, ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.
• Assist in financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making of all those in an ownership position.
• Calculate and record depreciation.
• Ensure Multistate compliance including sales tax.
• Conduct yearly and trimester planning.
• Conduct Job Costing analysis.

REQUIREMENTS//

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven 2-3 year's experience as an Accountant or Staff Accountant, preferably in a start-up or entrepreneurial environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations (GAAP).
• Proficient in using accounting software and advanced MS Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Adaptability and flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic start-up environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and ownership.
• Demonstrated ability to provide strategic financial guidance and support to entrepreneurs.
• High level of integrity and ethical standards.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Working in an office in a collaborative team environment.

Pay Range: $55,000-60,000 per year depending on experience
