Summary: The primary purpose of the Housekeeping Supervisor is to perform day-to-day activities of the housekeeping department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing our facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator, and/or the Director of Environmental Services. Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible to assure that our facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan, schedule, and supervise housekeeping activities.
• Establish a work log or checklist for daily, weekly, bi-weekly or monthly housekeeping task.
• Establish and maintain inventories of housekeeping supplies and equipment and assure equipment is working.
• Maintain housekeeping supply inventory within budget.
• Assist in recruitment, selection, and training of the housekeeping aides as related to their job duties.
• Assist with completing employee evaluations on annual basis.
• Agree not to disclose resident's protected health information and promptly report suspected or known violations of such disclosure to the Administrator.
• Follow established safety precautions when performing tasks and when using equipment and supplies.
• Follow proper techniques when mixing chemicals, disinfectants, and solutions used for cleaning. Refer to manufacturer's instructions when necessary.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment and supplies when handling infectious materials and/or hazardous wastes or chemical.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Attend daily stand-up meeting.
• Identify and correct potential safety hazards.
• Assist in identifying and selecting appropriate supply vendors.
• Assess and make recommendations for equipment replacement and repair.
• Conduct daily inspections of the interior of the community. Immediately address deficiencies to ensure community is safe, clean and comfortable for residents, team members and guest.

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixing of cleaning compounds, liquids, disinfecting solutions, etc.
• Must be willing to work harmoniously with other personnel as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level at which are currently functioning.
• Must be able to coach staff to develop and demonstrate appropriate functions of their assigned job duties.
