Overview

Working under the direction of the Security Systems Manager, the Security Systems Administrator will be responsible to troubleshoot and maintain network security systems. A successful candidate will have technical knowledge and experience with implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of low voltage systems, including access control, CCTV and alarm systems. The Security System Administrator will perform security audits for new servers and identify system vulnerabilities.

Responsibilities

• Support and monitor all security system infrastructure and system installations, including configurations, testing, and maintenance
• Implement and maintain database and configuration backups, security, and redundancy requirements per the organizations policies and procedures in addition to industry best practices
• Identify potential issues with system upgrade initiatives and implement solutions to maintain application and database integrity and sustainability
• Liaise with management and vendors/integrators to identify and define project requirements, scopes, and objectives that align with organizational goals
• Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment primarily focused on electronic security applications
• Provide back-up support to the Security Systems Manager for key initiatives, system design and upgrade initiatives
• Provide systems support for internal technicians and 3rd party integrators throughout the portfolio to ensure system standards are maintained
• Analyze and identify security system issues, and develop/implement appropriate solutions to remediate
• Build the skill sets of individual team members and capture overall learnings for the company
• Achieve organizational goals while upholding standards and best practices aligning with the Durst core values
• Ability to design and document system architecture plans in accordance with application developer recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or IT related field
• 3 years’ system administrative and project management experience
• Certifications with Genetec, CCure, Lenel, and Salto applications
• Experience working with electronic security systems and applications primarily focused on access control and video management systems
• Hands-on experience with managing internal resources and vendor management
• Proven success in a corporate setting, working with all levels of management and providing documentation to senior management level stakeholders
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
• SQL database certification or proven experience working with SQL Server (Preferred)
• Project management certifications a plus PMI - (CAPM, PMP, PMI-RMP, etc.) (Preferred)
• Security management certifications a plus – PSP, CPP (Preferred)
