Overview

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for recording accurate and timely transactions for The Durst Organization’s Residential Properties.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret residential leases 
• Set up and process monthly billing for all rent up charges in the residential portfolio
• Reconcile monthly rent roll to the billing cycle
• Reconcile cash collected and tenant security deposits to the daily banking
• Respond to tenant inquiries
• Communicating with colleagues, management, tenants, and others in a courteous and professional manner
• Conducting research, preparing reports, and performing other related duties, as needed
• Serve as a resource, advocate, and catalyst for sustainability at The Durst Organization. Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of billing/accounts receivable experience in residential real estate
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills, analytic skills, and attention to details
• Strong computer skills in MRI (or Yardi)
• The ability to work independently, as well as with a team and a problem solver
• Knowledge of accounting practices and understanding of how general ledger accounts relate to billing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Database applications
