Description

Responsible for day-to-day operations and monitoring of the company’s computer systems, networks (WAN and LAN), software applications, phone system and data backup. The Senior Network Administrator will provide third level support for hardware, software and phone system technical issues. This position will also be responsible for network, data and end-user security protection systems. The Senior Network Administrator will act as lead and intermediary between IT support teams, end-users and Senior Information Technology staff, the company and outside vendors, as well as the company and the company’s Information Technology consulting firm(s), providing them assistance and direction with current and future projects. The position will also be responsible for designing and developing the various departmental network systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deploy, configure and maintain networks (WAN, LAN, WiFi and VPN).
• Maintain IT system(s) integrity.
• Monitors daily systems operation (including reliable systems backups).
• Maintains phone systems.
• Improve System performance.
• Offers internal and external website monitoring and maintenance.
• Develop and maintain backend logical infrastructure for network services and applications (File, Print, application specific DB’s and ERP).
• Makes system documentation available.
• Expected to offer lead support to IT teams and end-users for the following desktop applications and operating systems currently in place:

1. Windows OS 7 to current
2. Office 2003 to current
3. Adobe applications
4. VPN Client
5. Citrix ICA connections
6. Network Printers
7. Avaya IP Office
8. Office 365 email and applications
9. On Base
10. Responsible for third level server and network infrastructure support. Technologies include:
11. Windows Server 2003 to current
12. Office365 and applications
13. SQL Server 2000 to current
14. Citrix Presentation Server and RDS
15. IS 6 to current
16. Fail over cluster and hyper-v
17. Cisco switches, routers and WiFi systems
18. Responsible for on-call and remote site support (may include some travel)
19. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma / GED.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience performing similar duties as described above.

Specific Skills

• Information security for end-user, data and network infrastructure.
• Problem solving skills and troubleshooting.
• Communication skills, written and verbal.

Systems (hardware, software, computer, etc.)

• Hardware and software configuration for desktop, server and network infrastructure

PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

• Observations Acuity encompasses dealing with and preparing graphics, utilizing a computer terminal or other such technology where the work is at a close distance to the eyes. 
• Physical Activities include: repetitive motions of the wrist, hand, or fingers, conveying with others, and hearing. 
• Physical Requirements are sedentary work, which involves sitting most of the time. There is also the occasional exertion of 50 pounds of force.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Duties are performed under Physical Conditions in which the worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
