What you'll be working on

We have an established product, but we’re in the process of rebuilding a lot of our systems to integrate with other Evernorth products. Our software is primarily written in Python and Javascript. You’ll help us move from some older frameworks, like Twisted and AngularJS, to more modern ones like FastAPI and React. You'll work closely with our product team to lead technical design on new features that will create a better healthcare experience for patients and providers. You’ll lead the team in finding ways to make our systems better.

Skills & Requirements

- Knowledge of Python and/or JavaScript as an application language

- Experience addressing issues of scale and performance

- Experience with microservices, particularly with migration to a microservices architecture

- Experience with Containerization and Continuous delivery

- Experience running production systems on Amazon Web Services

- Experience building and consuming REST APIs

- Deep understanding of functional idioms and object-oriented principles

- Excellent understanding of metrics, monitoring and alerting as they relate to the code you create and the creation of reliable systems

- Strong communication skills with a variety of roles and experience levels

You likely have 6 years of production coding experience, but we believe that skills are more important than training. If you’ve got strong skills, but have taken a different path, we’d love to hear from you. Cultural fit is also critical. If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 121,900 - 203,100 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
