Responsibilities

Draper is looking for an outstanding engineer to provide technical expertise and leadership for the development of complex, real-time software applications used by state-of-the-art GN&C Systems. The individual’s responsibilities will include:

• Developing and evaluating unique, real-time, highly-reliable system software solutions for challenging problems, with emphasis on GN&C applications
• Leading and/or supporting a team for the entire mission-critical software life cycle, from architecture conceptualization and requirements analysis through final software verification and validation and software release
• Executing software and system-level tests in various engineering environments, including complex software simulations and real-time hardware-in-the-loop environments
• Clearly communicating software designs, issues, risks, and development plans to managers and customers

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• M.S. or B.S. degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent with 8 years of professional experience in a related field
• Excellent computer and analytical skills with experience in full-lifecycle software development
• Experience developing using C/C
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Task planning and leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Past design experience with UML/SysML
• Experience with in-circuit emulators, JTAG debuggers, and laboratory test equipment such as logic analyzers and oscilloscopes.
• Familiarity with modern software development tools for version control, static and dynamic analysis and continuous integration is a plus
• Knowledge and experience in the design, coding and testing of guidance, navigation and control system software
