The Centers for Advance ENT Care is Hiring a Front Desk Near Hagerstown, MD

Medical Receptionist/ Front Desk Job Summary:

Busy Otolaryngology (ENT) office is in need of a talented Medical Receptionist. This is a Medical Receptionist/front desk position that requires excellent customer care and attention to detail. Candidates must have a strong working knowledge of medical procedures and terminology. Must have experience working with EMR systems.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Welcomes patients and visitors to the medical office by greeting patients and visitors in person and on the telephone and answering inquiries or referring questions to other staff members.
  • Answering multi-line phone
  • Schedules appointments
  • Registering and checking out patients
  • Processing medical record requests
  • Prepares a daily schedule of examinations for each provider.
  • Maintains reception area in a neat and orderly condition.
  • Assists patients with insurance papers and billing questions.
  • Travel between Frederick, Hagerstown, and potentially Winchester required.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • 1-year medical front desk/receptionist experience
  • Personality and demeanor to deal with the public and assist ill, older, or distraught patients.
  • Basic office skills such as typing and filing.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills

Education and Experience:

  • Graduate of a certified medical office training course preferred.
  • High school graduate or equivalent required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
