SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

The Position:

The Senior Accountant supports our family office and its multiple business entities.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain daily cash balances and transactions.
• Prepare timely and accurate bank reconciliations for all personal and commercial bank accounts.
• Obtain approvals to pay and process accounts payable timely.
• Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
• Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
• Maintains and balances accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
• Maintains general ledger by transferring accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries.
• Summarizes financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements.
• Provides information required for external preparation of tax returns.
• Actively identifies opportunities for payables process improvement and assists with implementation.
• Special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from a regionally accredited university required.
• 5-7 years previous accounting experience required.
• Knowledge of QuickBooks accounting.
• Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Excel and related accounting business systems.
