This is a part time - 32 hours in two weeks for the day shift - Speech Therapist
Position Summary

• The Speech Pathologist evaluates and treats all disorders of speech, swallowing, and language for the purpose of preventing, identifying or modifying such disorders and conditions.

Essential Functions

• Evaluates and plans appropriate treatment for disorders of speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing
• Recognizes change in patient’s progress and adjusts the plan accordingly
• Instructs patients in techniques for more effective communication, including sign language, lip reading, and voice improvement
• Teaches patients to control or strengthen tongue, jaw, face muscles and breathing mechanisms
• Uses computer applications to identify and assist communications and disabilities
• Knowledgeable of available test materials and therapeutic techniques
• A thorough case history, functional status, problems and goals are measurable and time framed, treatment plan and rehab potential are documented
• Maintains appropriate documentation which meets the standards and requirements of the department, The Joint Commission, and Center for Medicare Services.
• Presents clear, concise, organized information exchanges and interactions

• Master’s Degree from an accredited college
• Certification by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
• License by the Ohio Board of Speech Pathology and Audiology
• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS
