The Arbors Assisted Living is currently looking to hire a responsible Assistant Food Service Director, to help assist the Food Service Director with the day-to-day dietary operations within the community.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English
• Experience- 2 years in Food Service related industry, with healthcare knowledge, and supervisory experience

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Make sure Cooks and Dishwashers are here for their scheduled shifts
• Process all in-coming orders for accuracy and complete required paperwork and proper rotation of the food products
• Do Cooks/Dishwasher's probationary and yearly evaluations
• Supervise meal service, making sure all plates look presentable and garnished and go out in a timely manner
• Document/disciplinary write-ups as necessary

Performance Responsibilities:

• Check the menu and make sure the community has the appropriate items that are on the menu for the 3 meals
• Inspects walk-in, freezers and dry storage areas East and West to insure they are correctly stocked, cleaned, correctly working, food items labeled properly and rotated
• Responsible for generation of a physical two week schedule
• Enter all PO's/invoices onto Monthly PO's and food cost sheets
• Do all orders for the week- food, produce, beverage and desert ordering
• Make new menu cycles for the change of seasons
• Help the cooks with prep and getting the meals ready
• Oversees that records temperatures of refrigerators , freezers, dishwashers and pot sink have been accurately logged
• Make daily prep sheets for the cooks
• Make daily cleaning assignments for the cooks

Position:

• Full Time
• Sunday to Thursday
• Shift times may vary- please inquire
