Shipping/ Receiving Clerk

Thar Process has an immediate opening for a Shipping/Receiving Clerk in our RIDC Fox Chapel site to provide support to our growing manufacturing operations. The Shipping/Receiving Clerk ensures timely systematic reconciliation of shipments and inbound materials related to quality, operations, and sales.

Essential Functions:

• Maintain inventory and packaging activity
• Examine contents and compare with records, manifests, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipments
• Prepare documents, work orders, bills of lading and shipping orders to route material
• Record shipment data, shipping charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes
• Determine shipping method for materials
• Deliver or route materials to departments, using work devices, such as a cart, hand truck or forklift
• Pack and prepare materials for shipping
• Correspond with vendors and customers to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications
• Assists with loading and unloading trucks
• Off-load inbound merchandise from trailers

Education and License:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Valid Pennsylvania driver’ license
