JOB SUMMARY: The Marketing Analyst will be a leader in the mission to enhance marketing efforts through data-driven decision-making. This position will directly serve the needs of the Marketing department by developing key performance indicators and marketing insights. This position will be responsible for impacting the customer journey using marketing metrics and be responsible for analyzing marketing campaign performance. This position will promote better decision-making by developing actionable insights and a holistic understanding of fan behavior. The Marketing Analyst will also maintain appropriate relationships throughout the league and organization to continue learning best practices and staying at the forefront of data-driven insights.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
Support and collaborate with the Marketing department on all needed analyses
Support the marketing department’s analysis & reporting needs through visualizations and dashboards
Create and maintain the marketing key performance indicator dashboard
Understand the overall voice of the customer by assisting in the creation of a new segmentation study
Collaborate with the Integrated Marketing Coordinator to oversee the life cycle of a consumer through the creation & implementation of the customer journey process
Develop an understanding of how campaigns drive fan behavior and provide actionable insights to develop campaign efficiencies
Be the go-to-resource for fan insights utilizing both primary and syndicated resources to support marketing strategy
Work with Director of Marketing and VP, Marketing to understand current consumer insights and trends and how they apply to the business of baseball and the Texas Rangers
Collaborate with the Marketing Manager/Director to coordinate regular and timely reporting on integrated marketing initiatives and ROI/ROAS
System Administrator for Datorama (marketing intelligence tool)
All other duties as assigned
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong interest in baseball and baseball front office business analytics
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
Knowledge of marketing analytics and customer journey tactic
Strong project management experience
Strong presentation and communication skills
Knowledge and familiarity with Tableau
Knowledge and familiarity with Datorama or other marketing intelligence tools
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional nights or weekends
