The major TEEX programs include fire and rescue, infrastructure and safety, law enforcement, economic and workforce development, and homeland security. About the Role: The Training and Development Manager is responsible for improving the productivity of the organization's employees. This position assesses company-wide developmental needs to drive training initiatives and identifies and arranges suitable training solutions for employees. You will oversee the development of training programs, facilitation of change management initiatives, and review of current development programs to ensure linkage to company goals. This position actively searches, creatively designs, and implements effective methods to educate and enhance performance. In addition, you may coordinate with outside consultants and training providers on development needs. You will also provide input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility and gives input into developing the budget. You will ensure that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. You will report to the Director of Human Resources and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). What We Are Looking For: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (equivalency: will consider an Associate’s degree with seven years of experience designing and implementing employee development programs, HR, and/or organizational development or a High School Diploma/GED with nine years of experience designing and implementing employee development programs, HR, and/or organizational development an equivalent combination of education and experience Five years of experience designing and implementing employee development programs, HR, and/or organizational development May require a valid driver’s license What to Expect: Provides direction for the agency’s Training and Development function Program Administration Provides direction and supervision of assigned employees Strategic initiatives Other Duties Culture and Commitment to Diversity: TEEX is committed to transforming our organizational culture so that all employees and customers feel valued, respected, and represented. While TX-TF1, an elite urban search and rescue team, provides emergency response personnel and resources during disasters, TX-PWRT restores public utilities such as water, gas and electricity after disasters.
