Job Summary

• Support the design and specification of infrastructure systems relating to networks, building communication, audio visual and security.
• Work closely with architect, mechanical and electrical engineers to define spaces and outline necessary systems to support the overall low voltage system design
• Provide drawing for own designs and produce sketches to incorporate in drawings by drafters
• Research design options, code issues and ask general questions of code officials and document findings for Project Designer/Engineer
• Ensure that drawings and designs are in accordance with company production and design standards
• Perform construction administration and field investigation tasks for low voltage systems as required.

Qualifications

• 7 years of directly related project design experience
• Ability to read and understand architectural and MEP drawings and specifications
• Revit expertise essential. AutoCAD / Bluebeam experience
• Understanding of telecommunications structured cabling systems, CATV, CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion Alarm and paging systems preferred
• Experience in structure cabling applications and code standards preferred
• Security/audio visual experience a plus
