Responsibilities:

The Dining Room Server performs a variety of functions in the dining room to ensure that that residents have a pleasant dining experience.

• Takes resident(s) meal orders and serves meals correctly and efficiently.
• Delivers trays to rooms of ill residents.
• Sets tables with napkins and tableware.
• Refills condiments and salt and pepper shakers.
• Sets up and keeps salad and dessert counter supplied.
• Cleans dining room tables and chairs and vacuums dining room.
• Follows all emergency procedures.
• Understands all safety practices and procedures.
• Reports on-the-job injuries to the Community Cook and/or Dining Services Director before the end of the work shift on the day the injury occurs.
• Communicates effectively with Dining Services Director and other team members.
• Advises Dining Services Director of any changes in physical or mental health of a Resident immediately.
• Maintains an acceptable attendance record, notifies Dining Services Director if he/she expects to be late or unable to work in accordance with personnel policies, and follows work schedule.
• May perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Similar experience preferable.
• The ability to work in a team environment and work flexible shifts.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Physically able to bend and reach.
• Physically able to push and pull and lift up to 40-50 pounds if necessary.

Job Types: Part-time, Full-time

Pay: $12.25 - $13.00 per hour

• Serving Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
• Restaurant Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
