The Coatings team is seeking a Senior ManufacturingEngineer. You will design and develop technically complex processes forfinishing/coating our products; which includes process development,specification and validation, establishing and optimization of critical processparameters, design for manufacturing, equipment specification and design, aswell as installation and commissioning. The candidate will work closely with internalcross-functional teams, external vendors and technology partners on processdevelopment from concept to production.

* Lead cross-functionalcollaboration and build relationships across the organization equipment,mechanical, electrical and support disciplines including project managers,manufacturing reps, and other stakeholders.

* Lead product design formanufacturability (DFM) and sustainability through analysis of product designand identification of potential risks to the process. Support FMEA anddevelopment of solutions to address critical risks. Prroduct design to thelowest overall cost (BOM cost manufacturing cost)

* Documentation of productrequirements for process and equipment specification

* Process development fromconcept to serial production, including: Developing highly optimized processdesigns which simplify the manufacturing process. Research and development ofadvanced processing technologies and associated material requirements. Processinvention, development, trials, and testing that shape the design of theprocess and/or product. Process release through detailed equipmentspecification, manufacturing instructions, workstation and line layouts,product trials, and prototype production management

* Detailed line design basedon process requirements, throughput and OEE calculations.

* Lead process verificationby developing acceptance testing criteria and verifying process/equipment meetsrequirements using statistical tools (such as GR&R, SPC and Cp/Cpk)

* Manage large scaleprojects for new programs such as the development of timing plans and costbreakdowns for executive approval. Identification of risks to project timingdriving corrective action. Regular reporting of project status to executive teams.Oversight of installation and commissioning of new manufacturing lines

• BS in Engineering (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Mechatronics or Chemical preferred.)
• Minimum 3-5 years related experience in a technology-based industry, where automated methods are utilized in the finishing/coating of consumer products.
• Experience working with or developing functional/aesthetic finishing processes, including but not limited to: Automotive Paint and Powder Coating, thin Film Coating (eg. PVD, CVD, PECVD), thermal Spray Coating, dip coating and surface Finishing (eg. Sanding/Graining, Laser Texturing, etc)
• Experience in developing, executing, and interpreting results of Design of Experiments (DOE)
• Experience using Industrial Engineering methods working in high-volume manufacturing processes.
• New product introduction and Manufacturing Operations experience desired
• Proficient in using Catia, SolidWorks, Inventor, and/or AutoCAD. As well as development and deployment of PFMEAs
• Knowledge of Production Parts Approval Process (PPAP) and Six Sigma
• Knowledge of automated equipment systems and tools - robotic, vision, material handling, Conveyors, PLC, HMI, etc. as well as Mastery of MS Office suite
• Travel required ~ 25%
