Job Description
The Opportunity
Under the general direction of the Software Engineering Manager, the SeniorMobile Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, documenting, testing, and debugging new and existing iOS-based integrations with our in-session communication infrastructure. Participate in fulldevelopment life cycle including requirements analysis and design.
Responsibilities
Write technical specifications and requirements definition based on conceptual design and stated business requirements
Design, breakdown, and successfully complete projects with large scopes with a high level of productivity and efficiency
Support, maintain, document, and write unit tests for software
Analyze code faults to find root causes of errors and put systems into place to pre-empt similar faults in the future
Consult with Product Management and end-users to prototype, refine, test, and debug programs to meet customer requirements
Review the code of other team members and provide constructive direction.
Guide more junior developers.
Responsible for requirements definition, design reviews, implementation, testing, and initial documentation
Working with commercial CPaaS APIs and open-source real-time communication software supporting high-quality, low latency voice/video communication between millions of users
Candidate Profile
Proficient in Swift
Experience in developing native iOS applications.
Experience writing applications which communicate with remote services and APIs.
5 years of experience developing user-facing iOS applications or libraries
4 year degree or equivalent, Master's degree preferred
English-language written and spoken communication skills
Excellent understanding of object-oriented design principles (SOLID)
Solid understanding of an iOS application lifecyle.
Experience with git or other version control systems
Experience with Combine framework nice to have
Experience with Cocoapods
Experience writing frameworks
Experience using Grand Central Dispatch (GCD) and concurrent programming required
Experience using the URLSession API preferred.
Knowledge of iOS back-end services.
Expert Knowledge of Apple’s design principles and application interface guidelines.
Familiarity with push notifications, APIs, and cloud messaging.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines preferred
Experience with commercial CPaaS APIs or open-source real-time communication software preferred
