Responsibilities

What you get to do every day:

• Designs and implements individual components of the Oracle products based on area of expertise
• Analyzes detailed requirements and develops detailed design for a specific Oracle product or technology
• Provides implementation services for a specific product to include extensions and additional configurations necessary to implement customer unique business processes and workflows
• Performs routine health checks and optimizations of system performance, availability, access controls and security
• Performs system optimization, performance tuning and assists in capacity planning
• Performs proactive analysis of potential issues, risks and roadblocks during system implementation and operations

Qualifications

What skills do you need?

• Bachelors Degree or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience
• 6 years’ experience related to business or IT experience
• Senior Oracle DBA with advanced experience with Oracle Streams replication and expert experience with Oracle Database Installations and Upgrades (versions 9i/12/18/19c). All versions required
• Expert experience with database maintenance, patch and PSU application and troubleshooting, Data Pump, and log/alert review
• Advanced experience of RMAN
• Advanced experience Oracle Streams replication
• Intermediate experience with Linux (use & navigation) and intermediate shell scripting knowledge
• Excellent communication skills - interface with Govt. and contractor DBEs
• Solid knowledge of software life-cycle and CM practices

What is ideal?

• Oracle GoldenGate experience a plus
• Oracle GoldenGate/Streams conversion/upgrade experience an even bigger plus
• Experience in technical operations at DOD agencies, particularly NGA and DIA
