The Teen Project is Hiring a Front Desk Administrator Near Sun Valley, CA

Job Title: Front Desk Administrator

Reports To: Assistant Operations Manager

Job Summary: The Front Desk Admin facilitates and supports the efficient operation of the assigned department by performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks.

Work Environment: The Teen Project, Inc. is a nonprofit organization serving at-risk, addicted, homeless, and human trafficked young women in both Los Angeles and Orange County. The Teen Project operates through different facets of support including LA County, Department of Public Health, Substance Abuse Prevention and Control (SAPC), Department of Mental Health (DMH), Orange County Health agency, gracious donors, and other applicable funding sources. The Teen Project offers a unique, innovative center that combines (if applicable): drug treatment, mental health, housing, workforce development, and education.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2 years of administrative experience
  • Understanding of HIPAA practices and regulations
  • Valid California driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • First Aid/CPR Certified

Upon Hire:

  • Tuberculosis clearance
  • Physical clearance
  • Pre-employment drug screening
  • Live Scan/background check clearance

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean and orderly reception area
  • Greet and guide on-site visitors, vendors, donors, clients, family members, interviewees, and staff
  • Ensure workplace security by maintaining visitor logs and the distribution of visitor badges
  • Answer a multiple line phone, direct calls, and assist callers by providing basic program information
  • Check company voicemails
  • Take and relay messages to appropriate personnel
  • Maintain electronic and manual files
  • Scan invoices, receipts, and statements
  • Accept incoming mail packages
  • Sort and distribute mail to appropriate personnel
  • Schedule appointments and interviews
  • Document and communicate facility irregularities and needs
  • Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
  • Create and update company phone directory
  • Create employee identification badges
  • Perform supplemental duties assigned by Management

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
