Teel Plastics, Inc. is Hiring a Process Engineer II Near Baraboo, WI

About the Role The Process Engineer II – Injection Molding is responsible for developing and improving manufacturing capabilities in regard to existing and new processes. Responsible for continuous improvement activities and other opportunities such as: safety improvements, variance investigations, NCM research, development of preventative maintenance cycles for the equipment on the manufacturing floor, tooling recommendations and standardized work instructions. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Manufacturing process improvements including product troubleshooting and root cause analysis.Increases profitability of product produced.Improves manufacturing efficiencies as measured by business metrics.Increases production rates and verify that the rate increases do not affect the quality of product produced.Reduces or eliminates scrap through root cause analysis.Researches and implements alternate materials.Trains Manufacturing Specialists to train production team members in the use of new equipment, tooling or process improvements.Works with the customer, production teammates, Quality, NPPD Engineering, material suppliers to analyze root cause of failures that may occur. Process Verification Works with production employees and NPPD engineers on 1st time runs and production realization hand off. Gathers SPC data to determine the stability of the process. Reports to necessary departments on the status of development and product realization runs. Additional project as assigned by supervisor. What You Need: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field with a good understanding of the plastics industry. Strong technical skills with the ability to communicate effectively and accurately. Familiarity with 3D or CAD systems. 3 or more years of experience in manufacturing with a specific knowledge of extrusion processes. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Excellent verbal/written communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a can-do attitude. Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task. Strong communications skills (verbal and written) with ability to create strong relationships. Ability to use of Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
