This position pays between $110,600.00 to $138,250.00 and is based on skills, experience and education of the successful candidate.
The successful candidate must live within 30 minutes of the Santa Fe Service Center.
SUMMARY
Manages and provides direction and coordination of gas operations functions. Operations could include gas distribution and transmission, gas metering and service, and/or gas and new service delivery, maintenance, and system reliability.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
COMPETENCIES
Extensive knowledge and demonstrated experience in functional area; in depth knowledge of gas operations activities
Expert knowledge and understanding of Company policies, procedures, and union contracts applicable to functional area
Expert depth knowledge of safety rules and procedures
Knowledge and understanding of company budgets and relationships with other departments
Strong leadership ability
Ability to demonstrate sound judgment
Ability to maintain positive and productive working relationships with various individuals and groups
Ability to manage and coordinate the activates of a broad function
Advanced negotiation skills and ability to gain concessions without damaging relationships
Ability to effectively handle emergency situations
QUALIFICATIONS
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelors degree with seven to nine years of experience relate to the function, including two years of management experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience related to the discipline.
Masters degree is preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
MM2 Master Gasfitter and GF9 Utility Installation (if applicable to functional area.)
Must at all times possess a valid driver's license and meet the acceptable driving record requirements of the Company.

Hires, trains, evaluates, rewards, and terminates employees. Designs, organizes, prioritizes, schedules, and leads work assignments. Fosters good working relationships with various groups. Addresses complaints and resolves problems in a timely manner. Ability to strategically plan, organize, and tactically lead in support of key business activities and goals.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical, financial reports, and legal documents
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to respond effectively to highly sensitive inquiries or complaints
Ability to effectively present information to various groups
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plain and solid geometry and trigonometry
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
COMPUTER SKILLS
Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, project management, and database software
Knowledge of and ability to use software applications used by the team
ANALYSIS AND PROBLEM-SOLVING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish factors, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to solve complex problems that involve a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
DECISION MAKING
Ability to independently make decisions that require judgment, creativity, and interpersonal skills. Ability to recommend and implement changes in systems and procedures
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to sit up to 2/3 of the time and to stand, walk, and stoop up to 1/3 of the time. Good vision and ability to adjust focus is required. Manual dexterity and the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk and listen, taste and smell is required. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. May be exposed to wet or humid conditions, work near moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outdoor working conditions.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Field, office, or plant environment. May be on 24-hour call during various periods of time.
