Job Title: Communications Specialist

Since 2016, our 0 full-stake engineers have been delivering Digital Transformation, Cloud-Native Application Development, Adaptive Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, Enterprise DevSecOps, and Multi-Channel Digital Presence services to the Enterprise.

Position Description

This position is being filled by TechSur Solutions, in support of a contract at the Administrative Office of the United States Courts (AOUSC), specifically the Technology Solutions Office (TSO). The person filling this role is responsible for providing mainly internal communication services, working closely with the CTO to communicate to all Courts.

Job Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will:

  • Take high-level requirements and technical concepts, and then translate the information into clear content in a style and format that is understood by non-technical audiences at all levels.
  • Provide creative elements for all written communication with superior copywriting and editing skills.
  • Work directly with the Office executive to design targeted communications that are convincing and compelling to increase buy-in, engagement, and change acceptance. The candidate will promote a positive image of the Office and control the dissemination of information on the Office’s behalf.
  • Develop effective high-level communication strategies for the organization across a variety of mediums, and foster relationships with advocates and key persons.

Required Skills/Qualifications

Looking for a self-starter candidate with:

  • 5 years’ experience
  • The ability to independently assess issues and initiate solutions with resourcefulness.
  • Advanced experience with general office software programs including MS Office Suite (especially PowerPoint) and Visio.
  • A full range of editorial skills to effectively review content, make corrections, provide feedback, and improve copy. Be able to excel in writing, storytelling, proofreading, research, grammar, and technical vocabulary.
  • An ability to research and translate technical concepts.
  • Knowledge of visual design and display.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Outstanding organizational and planning abilities, with ability to meet deadlines across multiple communications and outreach projects simultaneously.

Desired Skills/Qualifications

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud software is a plus, such as InDesign, Illustrator, or Photoshop.
  • Solid understanding of project management principles.
  • Strong understanding of branding and integrated marketing best practices to implement a cohesive vision across several projects.
  • Familiarity with web conferencing tools and platforms.

Education

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree plus 10 years of total experience, preferably in related fields (marketing, communications, public relations, etc.).
  • Or Master’s degree plus 7 years of total experience, preferably in related fields (marketing, communications, public relations, etc.).
