TechServ Engineering & Consulting, LTD is Hiring a Business Analyst Near Tyler, TX

General Summary: The business analyst will be the driver behind our continued growth and success. With our commitment to innovation, our business analyst will seek, develop, and help implement strategic initiatives for improved efficiency and productivity. TechServ is looking for a business analyst who will research progressive systems to evaluate their impact; they should be wholly committed to the discovery and development of innovative solutions in an ever-changing digital landscape. Our ideal candidate will need to be a detailed oriented planner, expert communicator and a top-notch analyst. 

Essential Functions:

  1. Creating a detailed business analysis, outlining problems, opportunities, and solutions for a business
  2. Job costing/profitability analysis along with variance analysis
  3. Serve as a thought leader for technical business processes, developing forward-thinking systems prototypes that promote increased efficiency and productivity on multiple levels
  4. Generates, maintains, and updates Crystal Reports, connecting to multiple data sources
  5. Experience with other reporting tools like Power BI, Dashboards, Excel and SQL.
  6. Querying & Mapping data from legacy systems and importing to our new ERP system with quality checks.
  7. Managing projects precisely, developing and implanting project plans, and monitoring performance with attention to transparent communication at all levels
  8. Leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies
  9. Having a systematic and logical approach to problem solving
  10. Ability to collaborate with a team

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis or a related field
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • Advanced technical skills
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills
  • Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • A track record of following through on commitments
  • Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged sitting and standing required.
  • Occasional need to lift, pull, carry, and push items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to always handle stressful situations in a calm and courteous manner.
  • Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and company needs.

Environmental/Working Conditions:

  • Works in a routine office environment.
  • Ability to work extended hours, as needed.
