Technical Services Inc is Hiring a Fabricator Near Ames, IA

Technical Services, Inc. (TSI), is actively hiring a Fabricator to join the team. This position will work out of TSI’s new building with state-of-the-art equipment in Ames, IA.

As a Fabricator, you will generate cutting lists, develop blank sizes, and create layouts and setups. The perfect candidate should demonstrate accuracy, thoroughness, and orderliness in performing work assignments, while striving for perfection and showing professional concern for quality of work.

Job Duties:

  • Interpret and use blueprints and sketches to perform layout and welding techniques
  • Work with other team members to ensure work is completed on time
  • Perform all job duties following company safety rules and proper use of assigned personal protective equipment

Requirements:

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints
  • At least 1 year of fabrication experience
  • Experience with MiG, TiG and stick welding
  • Welding certification, a plus
