Responsibilities

Technica is seeking a Network Administrator at CAOC-X on Langley AFB in Hampton, VA. Responsibilities will include sustainment, integration, and maintenance of the various systems found across the AOC WS.

The Network Administrator will install, troubleshoot, repair, and support systems, including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), network segments, firewalls, intranets, and communication systems. The Network Administrator will work across integrated teams to ensure functionality of system of systems across multiply AOC Weapon System baseline and CAOC-X areas of responsibility. This will also include documenting, designing, and analyzing network models. In this role, the successful candidate will participate in decisions about buying future hardware or software to upgrade the organization's infrastructure. The Network Administrator will be called upon to provide technical support to computer users and System Administrators to help aid in the resolution of users' problems. At times, this position will support activities at Combined Air Operations Centers (CAOCs) located in various CONUS and OCONUS Air Force locations throughout the world.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Provide day-to-day management and operations support of networks.
• Implement capabilities support Continuous Monitoring requirements and processes.
• Manage COTS & GOTS products to collect, display, and remediate a variety of automated system security and system operations/performance functions, and metrics.
• Assist during security assessments of servers, network devices, security appliances with accuracy and efficiency.
• Assist with creation of operational Operations and Maintenance (O&M) checklists to maintain the service (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly O&M checklists) and build Tactics, Techniques and Processes (TTPs) and Standard Operating Processes (SOPs) associated with service checklists.
• Manage and operate monitoring tools/capabilities with the enterprise security information and event management (SIEM) and create/tailor complex event alarms/rules and summary reports.
• Execute cybersecurity operations procedures for day-to-day network management, operations, and maintenance.
• Monitor and analyze output of cybersecurity related tools for reportable security incidents and residual risk.
• Assist in analyzing technical risk, upon request, of emerging cybersecurity tools and processes.
• Work as part of a security incident response team as needed.
• Assist engineers with the Integration/Development of new techniques to improve Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability for networks/systems operating at various classification levels.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Networking or relevant field with 2- 4 years’ experience.
• Active TS clearance
• Experience on Air Force and/or DoD information systems.
• Working knowledge of Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, IPS, IDS, Networking and Switching, as well as virtual networking technologies.
• Working knowledge of Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies, and data backup technologies.
• Working knowledge of communication security (COMSEC) policies and integration.
• Physical and Virtual secure LAN/WAN transport technologies (Taclanes, VPNs, IPSEC Tunnels, GRE, Guards, etc)
• Extensive knowledge of DoD policy as it applies to implementing and executing system and network administration.
• Experience implementing the Risk Management Framework to network/information system environments.
• Able to regularly lift to 50 lbs.
