Responsibilities:

• Work under the general supervision and guidance of a dentist

• Provide chair side assistance to the Dentist during dental examinations and treatment

• Charting during dental examination

• Take X-rays

• Sterilize and maintain instruments, as well as the Sterilization Area

• Set up and break down operatories

• Assist with supply inventory and ordering

• Maintain a clean and professional office environment

• Maintain a high level of customer service at all times

• Work as part of a team with emphasis on communication and dependability.

Dental Hygienist responsibilities and duties:

Perform Dental Hygiene duties under the Dentist supervision
Collect medical and dental histories from patients
Chart dental conditions based on dentist’s observations and evaluations
Instruct patients of all ages on proper dental hygiene and care
Perform Dental Hygiene procedures based upon clinical diagnosis
Provide chair-side assistance during dental exams and procedures, as needed
Educate and work actively to keep patients engaged in dental care and manages the recall program actively

Dental Hygienist qualifications and skills:

Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene or comparable degree

Current KS state Dental Hygiene license required

Excellent verbal communication skills

Availability to work some weekends

Experience working in a busy Dental Office

Current CPR certification
