Overview

The Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for profitably and efficiently managing the Fontana California Parts Warehouse and delivery operations. This individual will oversee a team of ~35 employees, including 5-7 supervisors/leads, $5M in on-hand inventory and ~150 customer deliveries on a day-to-day basis. The person in this role will partner closely with the local management team, inside and outside sales, as well as the corporate parts team, to improve operating results by developing operational team members, identifying tangible opportunities to streamline operations, initiating cost reduction measures, enhancing service levels, implementing best practices and instituting a performance monitoring system.

The person in this role will be exposed to a challenging, fast-paced environment, as well as opportunities for future growth based on demonstrated performance. A successful candidate for this role will be action oriented, possess strong analytical and problem solving skills, is able to communicate clearly both upwards and outwards in the organization, and demonstrate a track record of successful people management.

• Education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field.• 5 years of previous people/organizational management experience.• 5 years of warehouse operations management experience.• Keen knowledge of Class 8 Truck and Trailer Parts, as well as our customer and vender landscape.• Familiarity with a profit and loss statement and the key drivers of profitability.• Proven track record of delivering successful operational and financial results.• Proficient knowledge of basic software and applications including CDK, Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, Elite Extra, etc., and ability to learn new computer programs quickly• Six Sigma Certifications preferred.• Action / results oriented and self-motivated.• Makes quality decisions and deals with ambiguity effectively.• Strong business acumen with ability to analyze, prioritize, identify, create, and execute solutions.• Excellent at directing others, developing direct reports and conflict management.• Demonstrates good composure, patience, and compassion for direct reports and peers.• Exceptional customer focus, written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills.• Ability to build effective relationships with external and internal partners• Ability to work independently and remain detail-oriented and composed under pressure and in a fast-paced environment• Ability to act as a team player and remain flexible and adaptable• Conducts self with uncompromised integrity.
