Senior Financial Analyst

Location: Local Office in Columbia, MD with Hybrid Opportunities

The Opportunity

TeamWorx Security is seeking a full-time, Senior Financial Analyst for a quickly growing National Security company. The Senior Financial Analyst shall provide executive staff-level support to various programs for a variety of fiscal and strategic performance analysis, financial management, and reporting activities supporting strategic financial business processes; branch and division-level budget programming, formulation, and execution within the federal budget process; process improvement initiatives; and policy development. This individual will report to the Executive Vice President. To be successful in this role, you should be well-organized, proactive, have great time management skills and be able to act without guidance. 

What You'll Do

• Conducts financial analyses necessary to assist senior management in understanding business performance
• Participating and providing leadership with the Company-wide annual budget process
• Provide financial support to Corporate, Operations, HR, etc. in all aspects of developing and reporting department expenses, budgets and forecasts
• Gathers, prepares, analyzes, and summarizes financial data while working closely with other departments/entities
• Consolidating and reporting company-wide financial forecasts on a monthly basis
• Support ad hoc requests including financial analysis of existing business or new opportunities, market research, competitive analysis, and merger and acquisition activities.
• Identifies and tracks key indicators to monitor organization performance and prepare competitive analysis and benchmarking.
• Proactively seeking ways to improve existing reporting/forecasting/budgeting processes

Success Starts with the Following:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5 years Corporate Accounting or Finance background
• 5 years’ experience at a headquarters and/or executive level that includes a combination of analyzing financial data, executing organizational budgets, developing budget justifications, and/or performing oversight for strategic programs that align with organizational goals.
• Demonstrate expertise in analyzing and researching financial data, written/verbal information, and programmatic outcomes to assess risks, formulate recommendations, and present written financial analysis and data which aligns with organizational goals and objectives.

• Outstanding skill in writing and producing resource-focused reports, summary papers, persuasive position papers, and/or briefs containing written financial analyses, textual justifications, and financial graphics describing fiscal performance related to operational outcomes, such as budget justifications, NIP text files, budget summaries, execution position papers, and/or budget talking points for executive-level and external agency audiences.
• High proficiency in creating and/or using MS Excel spreadsheets and pivot tables, PowerPoint presentations and demonstrative graphics, Word documents, and SharePoint lists and workflow tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and attention to detail Preferred Qualifications:
• High performing self-starter who proactively takes initiative to complete tasks and mitigate issues.
• Relevant certifications – Acquisition Management Level II or III, PMP, CDFM, CGFM, or related certifications.
• MS/MBA preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills; proven ability to present information to all levels of management
