The OpportunityTeamWorx Security is seeking a full-time, experienced Director of Business Development to help fuel and drive a rapidly growing small defense cybersecurity business headquartered in Columbia, MD. This may be a remote position; with commuting in the Washington DC Metro area as needed. The Director of Business Development reports to the executive team and may supervise teammates as projects require. This position will work with leadership to develop growth and strategic alliances and partnerships. Must be willing to submit for a DoD security clearance (if you already hold one, even better!).

What You'll Need to Succeed· Bachelor’s degree in a business or technical related field, Master’s degree a plus.· US citizenship is required, and a DoD security clearance is preferred.· PMP certificate, Shipley, and/or DAWIA PM Level 3 is desired.· 8 years of experience in the related area as an individual contributor, with proven business development skills and experience; with executing comprehensive (8)a business plans and strategies for markets within the Department of Defense and Federal Civilian market.· Proven success in cross-functional leadership roles; capture management, proposal development and product license sales· 1 - 3 years supervisory experienceCore Competencies:· Business Development including cost, schedule, performance, risk, and reporting· Acquisition Lifecycle· Capture Management and Capture Qualification· Corporate Strategy Development· Customer and Partner Relationship Management· Win Strategy Development and Execution· Proposal Development and Project Management· Strong analytical skills to interpret data· Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate across teams.· Ability to multi-task accurately under deadlines with reliable results
What You'll DoAs Director of Business Development, you will coordinate and monitor the scheduling, pricing, and technical performance of company programs. You will be responsible for negotiating and preparing contracts in concert with budget, resource, and client project requirements. You and the team will negotiate with clients and internal staff to develop solutions to business problems, and direct work of employees assigned to other partner relationships. You will develop a winning capture strategy and submit exceptional proposals tailored to the needs of key customers, stakeholders, and partners. The Director of Business Development is also expected to research and identify new business opportunities and create corresponding strategies for increasing product and brand awareness and adoption, for the purposes of increasing revenue.
