Tea Forté, a fast-growing tea and coffee company headquartered in Maynard, MA, is recruiting for a Senior Accountant role, reporting to the Assistant Controller. We are looking for a detail-oriented senior accountant to perform and coordinate accounting duties within our organization. The senior accountant's responsibilities include review of financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, assisting with tax preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned. To be successful as a senior accountant, you should have a solid working knowledge of GAAP, IFRS and strong financial analysis skills. An outstanding senior accountant should also possess strong Excel skills, be detail-oriented, highly organized, able to work with eventually minimal supervision and perform in a fast-paced environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

• Help drive the team in an efficient and collaborative month-end and year-end closing process, taking a leading role in these efforts
• Assist in annual, quarterly, and monthly tax returns (Sales and Use, VAT, Corporate)
• Partner with various departments to ensure financial transactions are processed accurately, providing guidance and support
• Prepare reconciliations for selected general ledger accounts
• Prepare various journal entries and accruals
• Contribute to Balance Sheet forecasting and budgeting, in partnership with FP&A team
• Manage intercompany relationships and monthly consolidations process with parent company
• Support and drive daily validations of transactions between NetSuite ERP and other integrated platforms
• Performing other accounting duties and supporting junior staff as required or assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5-10 years in Accounting
• Consolidations experience
• CPG industry experience is ideal
• Experience working with multiple cross functional departments across the organization
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (including Advanced Excel experience)
• Hands on NetSuite ERP experience required
• Familiarity or experience in managing NetSuite integrations a plus
• Experience with Avalara a plus
