The Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) creates a written plan of Implementation Strategies in accordance with their Personal Plan outcomes and goals for individuals with developmental disabilities. The QIDP provides case management and interacts with individuals in the implementation of plans, education plans or behavior programs.
Works independently to oversee daily operations of small 4-8 person residential homes for adults with intellectual disabilities.
Coaches and oversees direct care workers.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a human service related field (sociology, special education, psychology, social work, anatomy, communicative disorders, applied behavioral studies, counseling, gerontology, physiology, health education, elementary education, human skill development: education counseling, human development, recreation or in a specialty area such as art therapy, dance therapy, music therapy or physical therapy. humans and their cultural behavior (e.g., anthropology), etc.) from a four-year college or university.
or a Register Nurse, Occupational therapist or Occupational therapist assistant, Physical therapist, Psychologist, Social worker, Speech-language pathologist, BCBA, or Professional dietitian.
Minimum of one year of experience working with individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities.
Strong Leadership skills, dedication, team attitude, ability to work independently.
