Position Summary

TDI, the strategic advisory and risk intelligence firm, is conducting a search for a driven, Salesforce Solution Architect to join our growing analytics team. The successful candidate will work collaboratively to make significant contributions to TDI’s client-facing analytics products and will help drive innovation that will inform our future SaaS offerings.

The Salesforce Solution Architect will lead the solutioning and implementation of all aspects of Salesforce.com including configuration, customization, and implementation of applications and third-party integrations. The Salesforce Solution Architect reports to the Director of Engineering and works with a tight-knit team of developers (co-located and offshore) and administrators, as well as key internal and external stakeholders. The Salesforce Solution Architect will be acting as a trusted advisor for our team and clients. The successful candidate will lead and mentor team members to build best in class Compliance and Risk management products.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Participate in the full application development lifecycle from solutioning to development, testing, and deployment using contemporary Cloud based development tools.
  • Participate in requirement gathering sessions with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist Product team with capturing and authoring functional requirements.
  • Translate functional requirements into technical design for review and developer documentation.
  • Develop Salesforce solutions based on functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Perform code/configuration design and implementation reviews.
  • Provide day to day technical leadership to a scrum team
  • Implement and test bug fixes and enhancements.
  • Collaborate with technical teams and product team to finalize architecture specifications and create design as it relates to the customization and/or integration of software solutions.
  • Remain well-informed of SFDC feature updates/deprecation to ensure technical designs leverage existing features when applicable.
  • Develop proofs of concepts (POCs) as needed for potential clients.
  • Contribute to evolving processes and best practices for growing engineering and product organizations
  • Assist in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving defects encountered during various stages of project delivery, including during the deployment and implementation of the solution in production environments.

Preferred Knowledge and Experience:

  • 5 years of hands-on experience as a Salesforce.com SME.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related area of study or professional experience equivalent.
  • Salesforce credentials are highly desired (e.g., Platform Developer II, Salesforce Administrator, Platform App Builder, Community Cloud certification).
  • Proven experience with the practical application of Lightning Components, Communities, Process Builders, Flows, Visualforce, Triggers, APEX programming, Force.com APIs, and Web Services.
  • Proven experience leading technical teams.
  • General understanding of the full application lifecycle from inception through maintenance.
  • Ability to recommend process improvements and demonstrate creative thinking.
  • Expertise in Administrative tasks like maintaining User roles and security, Page Layouts, Workflows, Reports, Dashboards, Tasks and Events.
  • Demonstrated self-motivation and the ability to grasp concepts quickly.
  • Sharp, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira.
  • Experience working across various SFDC implementations covering service cloud, Einstein Analytics, and Salesforce Customer Communities.
  • Understanding of data structures and data migration (ETL).
  • Ability to perform production deployments with Salesforce deployment tools as needed.
