Taylorville Urgent Care has opening for full time Medical Receptionist. Hours of operation: Monday through Friday 9 am to 7 pm. Saturday and Sunday 10 am to 6 pm. Rotation of weekdays along with rotation of every other weekend shifts. Example of shifts are: First week: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. Second Shift: Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday paid on a biweekly basis. Candidates with a work history of a medical receptionist and/or registration specialist in physician and hospital environment with insurance knowledge a plus for hiring. Strong experience in communication skills with the communities, patients, and family members.
Job Duties:
1. Welcome patients in person by registration into the computer system.
2. Verification of insurance plans as active. Verification of copayments due at time of service. Verification of authorizations to receive medical services.
3. Revenue collections for current and past medical services.
4. Registration of worker comp injuries and pre-employment physicals.
5. Assisting with medical teams when needed.
6. Answering all incoming calls and working with patients, insurance carriers, third party as well as hospitals, PCP and specialty offices.
7. Thorough understanding of policies and procedures related to health care billing, HIPAA and Release of Medical Information.
8. Excellent communication skills in person and by phone. Medical office experience is a plus.'
