Technical Staffing Resources is seeking a Material Handling / Conveyor Design resource to work with one of the largest EPC firms in the country.

This is a long term, contract position located in Newark, DE area .

Responsibilities

• Interfaces directly with Owner and material handling Supplier’s to solve critical design challenges normally encountered during plant start-up.
• Effective collaborator and problem solver while working with all stakeholders in the development of an optimized plant layout utilizing current and state-of- the-art conveying technologies.
• Must be able to clearly articulate new and unique design concepts to a diverse group of disciplines while anticipating material flow and operational issues
• Development of system layout including material flows, equipment utilization, conveying and material handling equipment design, and operator optimization
• Perform CAD layout of material handling systems
• Select, size and provide technical oversight throughout the entire lifecycle; from conceptual phase to commissioning and start-up.
• Prepare bid specifications, evaluate supplier’s proposals, and coordinates Supplier drawings review
• Provide construction and start-up support on-site as required.

Qualifications

• Preferred Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
• 15 years (minimum) of experience in the EPC industry or chemical / biofuels operating companies. Will consider experience with chemical site team or project engineering backgrounds in related industries.

Operations / Maintenance and Reliability experience is a plus.

• Professional Engineering License (P.E.) is preferred but not mandatory.
• Working knowledge of other engineering disciplines while providing proactive leadership on all interdisciplinary design coordination efforts.
• Ability to travel as needed to survey client sites.
