The position will lead and direct the safe and efficient management of a Perishable Food Warehouse.

The Warehouse Manager oversees operations of the warehouse to ensure that all incoming and outgoing inventory is processed according to company policies and procedures. Their duties include Supervising and preparing schedules for Warehouse Associates, making sure that policies and procedures are being followed, customer service expectations are being met and monitoring compliance with safety standards.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• The team includes a shipping and floor supervisors, forklift operators, order selectors, along with sanitation, repack and general warehouse personnel, on both day and night shifts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Leading the team of employees who select, process and ship all orders.
• Follow a Safety-First program ensuring all team members are trained and regularly coached on safety related topics to drive a strong safety culture.
• Must be familiar will all job descriptions, company expectations, processes, procedures, logistic parameters and software integration, in order to effectively lead the warehouse operation.
• Drive Company culture of delivering exceptional customer service every day.
• Responsible for scheduling of team members
• Make sure all Good Manufacturing Processes, Food Safety Policies and Company’s Standard Operating Procedures are followed.
• All orders are selected according to customer’s standards, labeled, checked for quality and accuracy, prior to shipping.
• All delivery trucks loaded properly in order to facilitate a safe and efficient delivery process.
• All orders must have their shorts accounted for, subbed, when possible, bought in the market if available and filled before the trucks leave on a first run delivery.
• Ensure team members follow all time clock procedures around clocking in and out and breaks.
• Follow all Purchasing and Receiving procedures in order to fulfill all pending orders.
• Aware of inventory availability, rotation, condition etc. Able to understand and navigate inventory screens and make necessary adjustments following Company processes, as needed throughout the course of the day to fulfill all orders.
• Able to complete the shipping of orders and the dispatching of drivers.
• Warehouse kept clean and organized at all times, lead and direct sanitation team.
• Follow and assist in training team on HAACP and Food Safety requirements.
• Performs all other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Must be able to multitask.
• Fully bilingual in English and Spanish
• Computer proficient, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Produce Pro and Routing Software
• Able to operate a pallet jack and or forklift
• Logistics and transportation proficiency
• Inventory control, rotation experience a must
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Energy to succeed in a fast-paced environment
• Understanding of food safety programs & good manufacturing practices.
• Managerial skills, team member supervision, progressive discipline implementation
• Proactive, independent, motivated, and detail-oriented manager.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5 years relevant experience in produce or other related distribution perishable goods service. Knowledge of produce perishability, and inventory management needed.
• Must have a valid Driver’s license & Insurance.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
• Physically able to continuously stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, lift, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, handle and move/push/pull/lift items weighing from 50-75 lbs. safely and without difficulty.
• Able to work in temperatures of 34º-60º F.
• Have a full range of body motion.
• Required to safely operate warehouse equipment, including electric pallet jacks and forklifts.
• Pass a company pre-employment drug and alcohol screening test prior to commencing work.
• Check Operations by walking an area of approximately 100,000 sq. ft.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
