Overview

Tantus Technologies, Inc. (Tantus) - recognized by the Washington Post as a Top Workplace - is seeking a Business Analyst to support a large federal government agency in the areas of business requirements definition, process improvement, and general business operations support. You will solicit, understand, and document the customer's business requirements, processes and workflows developing both written and visual depictions of requirements and process flows. You will also drive Agile ceremonies, report to external clients, and support quality assurance efforts, with minimum supervision.

**Must be a United States citizen and be able to obtain a Government Agency Suitability Clearance.**

 

What You'll Do

• Work closely with the program manager, business stakeholders, technology project team, development team and other members. 
• Efficiently drive the SDLC process using scrum and agile practices, owning all core scrum ceremonies (standup, sprint reviews, retrospectives, backlog grooming, etc.) 
• Develop and maintain understanding of customer workflows and business needs
• Deliver precise business functional specifications to include functional requirements, workflows, business rules, interface design requirements, and data requirements.
• Manage multiple competing priorities through effective organization and communication. 
• Provide regular and timely status reports to internal management team (PMO Team Lead and Program Manager).
• Perform usability testing on regular basis.
• This position requires US Citizenship and eligibility to pass a background check.

Required Knowledge and Skills

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a business analyst role
• Minimum of 2 years experience within an Agile/Scrum framework
• Experience performing Quality Assurance (QA) testing
• Experience driving or coordinating user acceptance testing
• Understanding of business analysis principles, processes, and techniques. 
• Strong communication skills, including experience facilitating requirements analysis and functional design working sessions.
• Effective interpersonal skills, especially with senior leadership

• Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple/detail-oriented tasks 
• Must be a self-directed, self-sufficient analyst with demonstrated initiative, sense of urgency, and ability to come up to speed as a subject matter expert in a very short timeframe, gaining customer confidence.
